Backroads Bikeway Information



The Backroads Bikeway trails are located in Berrien County, nestled in the southwestern corner of Michigan.

The trails follow secondary roads over rushing streams and through picturesque rolling hills, patchwork farmland and beautiful meadows, parks and forests.

The 9 North Trails take cyclists into Wine Country where you can enjoy wine tasting, into Warren Dunes State Park for a swim in Lake Michigan or enjoy a leisurely stroll through Warren Woods State Forest.

The 9 South Trails take cyclists into the rolling hills of LaPorte County, Indiana. These routes are more challenging with some steep climbs, but beautiful scenery and many remote swamps and forests streaming with wildlife.

The Backroads Bikeway trails were developed and are maintained by the Three Oaks Spokes Bicycle Club.


The Three Oaks Spokes are a 501(c)(3) non-profit bicycle touring club, formed in 1974 for the purpose of promoting recreational cycling in Michiana and to do charitable community projects in the Village of Three Oaks and the surrounding area. Membership costs are $15.00 for an individual and $25.00 for a family, which includes: the Acorn Newsletter, and a T-shirt with club logo.


Cancellation Policy: All reservations must be prepaid. We offer a 100% refund policy with 7 days notice or due to inclement  weather.  Inclement weather is at our discretion not the customers.  We offer a 50% refund to any cancellation made between 2-7 days of the reservation. Any reservations cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will NOT be refunded. 


If renting in a larger group, we will work with you on reservations and cancellations. It is best to call for details.
